Gracefield Tree Nursery

MIRO set up a volunteer Nursery to supply eco-sourced trees for the Parangarahu Lakes revegetation. Initially established in Eastbourne, it has now found a home on the grounds of GNS Science at Gracefield. Seed is sourced locally from East Harbour Regional Park. The MIRO Nursery has been the sole supplier of trees for the revegetation and any surplus trees are donated to other local revegetation projects.
