Residential Traplines
Under the ERAT project predator trapping is carried out across Eastbourne and the Bays – from Point Howard all the way to Burdan’s Gate, including the foreshore. The residential area is divided into 11 zones with a trap line operator for each zone, who supports the local residents in their trapping efforts. Trapping on the foreshore is important for protecting dotterels, little (blue) penguins and other ground nesting birds.
